Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information LocalJournalHome does and does not handle. The site is a static collection of articles and stores as little as possible.

Cookie preference

LocalJournalHome does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The only data stored in your browser is a single local preference recording whether you selected Accept or Reject in the cookie notice. This value is kept in your browser's local storage on your own device and is not transmitted to any server. Clearing your browser storage removes it, after which the notice may appear again on the home page.

The contact form

The contact form on the home page operates entirely within your browser for demonstration purposes. When you submit it, the form simulates processing and shows a confirmation message; it does not transmit the entered name, email or phone number to a server, and no message is delivered or stored. If you wish to reach the editor, please write directly to webmaster@localjournalhome.org.

Server logs

Like most websites, the hosting environment may keep standard technical access logs, such as the requesting IP address, browser type and pages requested. These logs, where present, are used only for security and basic operation and are not combined with any personal profile.

Third-party content

Images are loaded directly from Wikimedia Commons (upload.wikimedia.org) and web fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these files, the respective providers receive the standard request information needed to deliver them. Their handling of that information is governed by their own policies.

Children

The site publishes general educational reading and is not directed at children, nor does it knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the site changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
